On the weekend I went to a big family bash and ate way too much great food (not to mention the cake that was shoved in my mouth)!
After watching good old Beetlejuice the night before I decided to pull out my vintage black dress. Dressed in black + camera in hand, all i needed was a slicked fringe and a stripe suited poltergeist by my side to have the part down.

If you follow me on the fun fun twitter (or if your in Sydney) you'll know that today was the hottest day of the summer and all ice blocks bought were sliding straight off their sticks! Tomorrow is supposed to be worse (40 Degrees C!) so I think I'll spend it inside with the air-con this time!

sea side

Photobucket

A few snap shots from my sea side adventures.
We stopped at Forster for a few days on our way to Byron Bay.
We went swimming, fishing in a boat(when I caught the most fish! 5 in total), exploring along the waters edge and of course a little Op-Shopping had to be done.

We visited a little local market (where we got honeycomb and fresh peas. below) and also an amazing rock cluster on the beach called 'The Tanks' where wild kids climb up the rocks, wait for a huge wave and jump off into the natural sea pools. (Very crazy!)

wearing (in outfit shot): Tie Tee - Cotton On
Shorts - vintage levis
Boots - Rubi
Bag - Oroton
Feather - found on the beach and put in my bag strap

silk feathers

Well Hello Hello to an outfit post. First of the year I think. I wore this on the first day of my coastal roadtrip.

My roadtrip was from Sydney to Forster to Byron Bay.
We had to take a couple (long) detours due to the Queensland/Northern NSW floods but we arrived safe and sound and ready to disco.

I love this wide brim hat. Its a vintage one I've had for a while and I added my favourite feather pin.

My summer holiday continues on the weekend when I take another roadtrip. Down the coast this time for a bit of camping, water rafting and general chill out.

Am I lucky this year or is this just a really good summer?
Hope your all having a good one

I love my fisheye film camera

Have i told you this yet?
Well yes I do. Unfortunately I only got to use half a roll of film because during New Years celebrations the film somehow came off the winding spool. Mystery.

Anyway, here are the shots I got and you may notice a couple look like Jupiter. These ones are double exposures and they are so fun when they work out!

Early saturday morning I am starting my road trip and the first stop is Forster. On Tuesday I'll be up in good ol' byron bay camping with friends. Here's hoping it doesn't rain too much (I've now been told Byron bay is actually one of the most rainy locations in NSW. True?).

I won't be back for a week or so but all you dears can keep up with me and keep in touch with me via twitter.

See you on the flip side

the last night

Photobucket

Lets move on from christmas, its the new year after all.
Happy 2011.

Usually i wouldn't post this photo but I love my new fisheye2 camera (I just picked up my first developed film from the store) and it was the first photo i took this year so you know, stuff it.
I wore my romper/jumpsuit (whatever is the passable name for them these days) from Blue Flamingo in Bali and the party turned up at mine. Which was lucky because I had no good shoes to wear.

My New Years Eve celebration decisions are always made last minute but this one was actually good.
Burnt sausages, hands in butter, lost shirts, all my knives and forks on the floor and a lot of people whipping their hair back and forth. Turns out there wasn't many suitable photos to show but I'll post more fisheye photos soon.
Hope you all had awesome last nights of the decade

Christmas Gravy

wearing - Vintage suede shorts, Sportsgirl cut out shoulder top and Rubi clogs

So the festive season has come and gone yet again and so has 2010! Oh so, Happy New Year!

On Christmas day I woke up and opened presents with Luke, my family and my family puppy. We then had christmas lunch at my Grandma's house with everyone! And then came more presents!

Next, me and Luke jumped in his old car and drove up the coast to Avoca Beach and spent Christmas dinner with Lukes family and then... more presents!

Yes I have been spoilt this year (I am already half way through my first film on my new fisheye2 camera)

So a day filled with presents, toy soldiers, bon bon paper hats and lots and lots of food. (after two big meals and multiple cheese platters I was about to pop!)

Hope everyone had a lovely Christmas time too
