MAD LOVE : Behind The Scenes

PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket

Last week I was invited to take behind the scenes shots of the latest lookbook for Mad Love.
The model was so lovely and very good at working poses for the different structures of each piece.
The team at The Wonderland were so welcoming as always and I loved hanging out with the other bloggers.
I am so excited for this collection to be released and I think the pictures can show you why... that sweater has a cat on it! Seriously! Wicked.

Meet Market for MHQ

Photobucket

Finally, I can share the photoshoot I was in for Market HQ a couple of weeks ago!
The 'Meet Market' went live last night and I am already thinking up friends I can sign up for the competition because the guys are all lovely!

This is the second shoot that I've had my hair put up (not common for me as I usually wear it out) but this time I actually loved it and tried to keep all the crimped height on top for a day or so after. I love the makeup and the styling was genius! Everyone at MHQ were really lovely so it was a fun experience!
Thanks to everyone who has already sent me such sweet feedback about it. Sometimes I can't believe I get to do stuff like this by being a blogger so thank you to everyone who reads SPIN DIZZY FALL.

The details for the competition are below and you can win a $1500 MHQ voucher to share just by signing up a friend [HERE]. Have fun ladies :)

Sequin Raindrops

PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket
wearing: sequin shorts by Lola vs Harper, vintage silk blouse, vintage clutch, platforms from rubi, DIY friendship bracelet, watch and bangles from singapore.

On saturday I went to a good friend's engagement party. Seriously, it is all happening this spring. So much to do! I feel like this is the busiest time in my whole life. I think I like it but I probably don't appreciate it as much as I will when looking back. Isn't that always what happens though?

I love these Lola vs Harper sequin shorts and I was wearing them around the house when I first got them even before I got to wear them out and take photos. They are the killer piece, pair with anything I say!

In other news, I'm blogging this post from University. That's a first! I feel like a real student. I don't really know why because blogging has nothing to do with uni work but hey it sure is more fun!

Let's get this week rolling. Goodbye Monday.

On wednesday I attended the launch of Breakfast With Audrey and bumped into lots of Sydney Bloggers too. After just over a year since it began, the official launch of Breakfast With Audrey was celebrated! It was a lovely event and I was so excited to be a part of it.
This month I have the honour of being Guest Editor for Breakfast With Audrey and have lined up some posts about the theme of the month of October; Vintage!
Check out my introductory post on the website here and keep your eyes peeled for my next vintage related posts!

wearing: shorts by Wild Hearts, vintage denim jacket and button up, boots by Soles, Mimco bag and vintage Guess watch.

Yesterday I went for lunch down near the beach. My main meal wasn't great but the bread/meat/dip platter was amazing (YUM!) and I actually like looking out at the ocean on a cloudy day.

I wore these cute little shorts by Wild Hearts who have launched their new website this month.
Check out their online shop [here] if you like vintage style pieces because they have some really lovely, affordable pieces (plus these 'Clouded Judgement' shorts in 3 colours)!

I am still really excited about summer but I have been so comfy with a cup of tea after I get home and out of the rain!

patent platforms

PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket
wearing: platforms from Rubi, Skirt from Dotti, tank from Cotton On and thrifted bag.

Yesterday I visited the team at The Wonderland to take some behind the scenes photos at the new Mad Love shoot (photos to come next month!)
I wore this outfit that I styled to celebrate the Westfield Style Tour with Gok Wan (British stylist - see below) over October. I decided to style an outfit with under $100 with designs from Westfield stores and this is the result!
These awesome Rubi velvet style platforms that I've had my eye on were $40, the tank was cheap as chips from Cotton On and the skirt was on sale for $20 at Dotti.

Westfield is also hosting other styling services like free 20 minute style sessions, personal style sessions and expert live chats on Facebook. All details here on the website.

Photos above were taken by the always lovely Nicole from Confident Liar.

long weekend

PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket
wearing: Seafolly tote via sunburn swimwear, vintage sweater, The Cassette Society skirt and converse All Stars.

Please ignore my depressed look in these photos because I actually had a pretty amazing long weekend. We didn't do much but being able to chill and go shopping on a monday is always enjoyable and that's exactly what we did.
I wore this minimal outfit shopping and this amazing, huge tote by Seafolly.
Just a short post from me and I hope everyone else had great weekends!

"change your look, not your sole"

PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket
wearing: vintage blazer vest, blouse and shorts are mink pink via Market HQ, sea folly sunnies, vintage bag and 'Snap Shoes' from Lindsay Phillips

This is the outfit I wore to visit the team at Market HQ during the week.
I love this vintage blazer vest that has been hiding on my clothes rack over winter. The colour is not too pink for me and it's excellent for summer.
Also check out these thongs or "Flip Flops"! They are by Lindsay Phillips and you can change those little 'snaps' depending on your outfit.
There are so many little 'snap' designs and I love these white and gold ones.
Check the rest here.

I'm on my mid-sem break so apart from avoiding assignments I've been stocking up on junk food and watching Leo movies.
