REVIEW: Hello Hair

 photo P1250911_zpse66cf20d.jpg

I noticed that Hello Hair gets a whole tonne of questions about their products and I actually got quite a few after I posted about it on my instagram account when I was in Bali. So I've done my only little review because, as my regular readers will know, I'm pretty obsessed with beauty and pamper products. After a few months of travelling - enjoying the sun and sea - I needed to get some hydration back into my hair which is what the Hello Hair mask does. Not only is is hydrating it's 100% natural, vegan & cruelty free - which is something I'm really drawn to.

Process:
The treatment is applied to dry hair and washed out by shampooing and conditioning you hair as normal. Hello Hair is oil-based and trying an oil treatment for the first time can feel a little weird but don't be too shy about it! Depending on your hair length, place 2-3 'squirts' of oil from the cute squeeze packet through your hair. Wrap your hair in a towel and leave the treatment for about 30mins or longer before washing out.

Results:
Soft, silky hair! After 4-6 treatments your hair should feel stronger & lush!

My tips:
Add the treatment gradually so you can get the perfect amount of treatment of your hair. When I use the treatment I need to shampoo my hair twice before the treatment is fully removed - otherwise it goes a bit straw-like (so don't freak if this happens - you just need to get all the oil treatment out of your hair).

Summer is coming and it's the perfect time to indulge in pamper products in order to protect your skin and hair in the harsher weather conditions. Luckily the Hello Hair Hydrating Mask is only $15 - so it won't break the bank to give it a go! For all you out there who adore summer scents/products/anything like me, Hello Hair also have a new Island Escape edition in their online store. I haven't tried that one myself so I'd love to hear feedback from anyone who has. Check out the Hello Hair website here: hellohair.com.au

I'm so excited to introduce something new and different to my blog! I've done videos in the past but they were a loooong time ago and were mostly travel & fashion related. This time I am actually talking through a fun tutorial for Gel Nail polish. In this video I tested out the Gel Polish Pro Kit by Red Carpet Manicure. Check out my video for the 'how to' guide and my final review! I'd love to hear all your thoughts on my video and any questions you have about the Gel Polish Pro kit. More information about Red Carpet Manicure, their kits and colours here

Don't forget to subscribe to my youtube channel as I have another video in the works ... coming soon!

BEAUTY BLAST - July

I've never been a massive beauty buff. Only a couple years ago I only ever wore powered foundation and eyeliner. However, things seem to have snowballed since then and I've found that playing with beauty products can be almost as fun as playing with fashion! So I thought, every month or so I would review some products I've been using on Spin Dizzy Fall.

As I said, I'm no beauty blogger but to all you make-up rookies out there, you're not alone on this quest/struggle to get longer lashes and pristine nail beds. We can do it together! I want to hear all your thoughts and feedback along the way. So far I'm using a rating system that goes a bit like this...

'Spin' = Love it & will use again.
'Dizzy' = Unsure or confused.
'Fall' = Oh dear. Downright Fail.

Now! To the details of today's post ...

1 + 2: 'In My Bag' feature for Australis
Products: Bronzing primer, pout paste, bronzer and polish by Australis.
Also included: Missguided Jeans, myleather.com.au Bag, Shoes via Stylemology, She Inside plaid shirt, Zero UV shades, Chloe perfume & DW watch.
Review: Stay tuned for this one.

3: Intensive Body Cream - Rosa Damascena, Acai & Pomegranate by Grown Alchemist
Review: Soft and lovely on the skin.
Rating: Spin! Very luxurious without the huuuge price tag at $29.95

4: Skinperfect Primer by Dermalogica
Review: Honestly, I didn't own a primer before and I was impressed. But then I tried my sister's primer and found that yes, this primer is actually impressive. It's like silk on your skin!
Rating: Spin. It's taken a place in my 'everyday' make-up bag.

5: Lip Care with Honey by Apivita
Review: All winter I've been looking for something to heal my dry lips. I've gone through chapsticks and paw paw ointments but this is the one that's stuck with me.
Review: Spin, again! Loving the honey.

6: Stress Relief treatment oil by Dermalogica
Review: During my exams I was bouncing off the walls and looking for anything 'Stress Relief'. One whiff of this oil and you're half asleep. In a 'I'm extremely relaxed' kind of way not a chloroform kind of way. It smells amazing!  However, like with many oils, there seems to be a leak issue so always keep it standing upright.
Rating: Dizzy. Love it but let down by the leak situation. Plus you also need to con someone into give you a massage first but hey, that's not really Dermalogica's fault now is it?

6: Facial Masque by Grown Alchemist
I haven't had a chance to use this one yet but I had to include it because it smells glorious! Very musk. Follow me on twitter to get the review when I use it.

7 + 8 + 9: Bloom polish & Nail Art Pen by Barry M (via Missguided)
Now nail polish is something I have always loved!
Spin for both these products. The Bloom polish goes on very well with only two coats and keeps it's shine. Obviously I had a bit too much fun with the nail art pen as I had originally planned to go with a straight line design. But I'll definitely be using it again. Simple dots design is next on the list!

So how'd you like my first beauty reviews? Be nice, I'm new. xx
