After staying in Hoi An we took a day trip by car to see the sights on the way to Hue. First up, we climbed hundreds of dodgy stairs to see the caves and the views of the Marble Mountains. Next we stopped at the famous China Beach (where American troops landed during the Vietnam/American war) and I put my feet in the China Sea. We took the Hai Van pass over a mountain and stopped at the top to look through an American bunker from the war. We spent the afternoon at The Imperial City in Hue. Hue was the original capital of Vietnam and the Imperial City was huge! I don't think we even made it through half of the walled area. You can probably tell by my photos that I loved all the details of the place.

Next stop: Hue day trip!
