After Halong Bay we travelled back down to Ninh Binh for a day tour around the area. We hired a guide and motorbikes. It was a little bit rainy but it was one of the most exciting days - whizzing along dirt paths & across rice fields from one destination to the next. Throughout the day we hit the Trang An Grottoes, Van Long Nature Reserve and the Mua Caves (up 500 stairs)! Our last stop in Vietnam was Hanoi. We spent about 4 days there exploring the old quarter, the french quarter and the usual attractions such as one pillar pagoda and Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum. But one of the best things about Hanoi was the great food! Whether it be lovely french dinners, sneaky burgers, street Banh Mi or even sweets on a stick in the markets - I loved it!
Apologies for the MASSIVE post but this is officially the last travel post from my south eat asia trip! It's taken a while to get through all the photos but I had the best time travelling and I really wanted to share it with all of you. Thank you so much to all of you who have been telling me how much you've been enjoying these posts and all the lovely entries on my Vietnam Giveaway so far.
