I got soul but I'm not a soldier

The tattoo show today was really interesting. A lot of stalls with in a big hall with a whole array of people getting tattoos. There were lots of lovely dressed rockabilly girls in the crowd.

I wore these grungy punk platform boots that i picked up at an op shop last week. I love wearing them because i get to be taller for a day and they are super comfy =)

And no i didn't get a tattoo but now i know a lot of good artists and who to go to if i decide to get one in the future.

Do you guys have any tattoos?

wearing: cage knit tee - vintage, shorts - cassette society, vintage boots - destroy and glomesh purse - vintage.

P.s. Alice in wonderland was good but some silly bits at the end almost ruined it for me. The start is very well done and magical. Helena Bonham Carter as the Red Queen was amazing and there were some funny bits throughout the film. My favourite scene would have to be the tea party scene. Overall it was good (sorry I can't say it was amazing) but it is totally worth seeing just to check out the outfits. Alice continually changes dresses throughout the film and every one of them is amazing! Since this is a fashion blog and I'm mostly talking to fashion lovers I recommend it =)

(Bit of a mixed up review, sorry)
Thanks Reni for reminding me

  11. the movie is really worth it just to see the outfits. i agree; I wouldn't call the whole movie amazing, but the outfits sure are. they were so interesting in the sense where they looked like they were just a curtain/larger fabric of an outfit but at the same time they had such a romantic, ethereal, dresses that complemented her. the only dress i didn't like was the first dress when she was getting proposed to :[

  13. Hmm good to know about Alice... still debating whether to spend the money to see it (I'm such a cheapskate when I can't wear it).

LOVE your boots, haha, they're so out-of-this-world and I dig them.

I DO have a tattoo, but I would kind of like another one... or three. All discrete, but I just like the look of body art (unless it takes over your body... that's cool, but not for me). I have a sparrow/robin bird on my left hip, and the lines of the bird are the verse, "Though the sorrow may last for the night, His joy comes in the morning." I got it during a rough point in my life, and it always reminds me that every night has to come to an end sometime. Plus it's pretty. :)

  22. tattoo show!?!? i wanna go!!! i freaking love tattoos and i only have 3 all red ink, but i want loads more...my first two were really tiny, but then i decided that i was an artist and that i never wanted a desk job, so i got a big wing on my arm. my final f you to the man ;)

my only advice on tattoos is know that you are going to love it forever...you really need to give the idea time and then make sure that you still want it in a year... yeah, lots of time ;)

your outfit is delightful an i rather liked your review on alice, very honest.

  24. Yeah the dancing was quite random but i was sitting next to my little sister who is in love with the depp, so she seemed to love that bit. The door mouse was so much sweeter in the other versions of alice in wonderland. Whats with the eye stabbing obsession and the conventionally cute characters recently becoming excessively violent. I didn't completely love the white queens character. She seemed to relish the fact that she was greater loved than her sister - as though she was secretly mean...I agree though, Loved the costumes and her contrasting makeup
