Knitted Hearts

Photobucket

Today i went camera searching. No luck but my view has change and then changed back again. Also I've had so many people telling me to get a Nikon right after i decided i want to get a canon! When will this end!!!! I really don't want to regret my decision.

I came home with no camera but with a new tea purchase from T2! ( i swear i did not ask for a bag to match my outfit)
I was almost set on buying 'sydney breakfast' but we tried some of the teas they had set out. Instantly, I thought the choc chip chai was divine so bought a box and a little T2 tin for it to live in. I was then told that the tea we tried was made with vanilla soy milk (So i bought some of that too).
I think i will have to perfect the mixture because it did taste more 'chocolatey' in store. Hmm sneaky T2, sneaky.

What i WAS happy with was the lovely pistachio macaroon i bought (from a french man who used gloves to pick it up and hand it to me). Cheap = no, Yummy = YES!

wearing: light knit sweater - thrifted, shorts - lucky 13, stockings - ebay, necklace - gift from friends and vintage handbag.

I always wear simple outfits to shop in because i feel more comfortable. Will usually include my shorts, a medium-large bag, stockings (these ones will not stop ripping. They are going nuts!), flat shoes and a baggy top.

  10. Nikon, Nikon, Nikon!!!!
it's common opinion that they make the best DSLRs. But it doesn't matter too much, as long as you pick decent lenses. But once you pick a brand, i recommend sticking to it.
anyway, i was reading about the new D300s the other day. It sounds pretty damn good considering it's price (1500 for body only). HD d-movie, but with a separate mic for stereo sound recording. So if you're into vids, it'd be excellent. Also the ISO is pretty important, especially if you're into night photos. Mine (the D90) is 3200ISO, but I only set it as high as 1600 to avoid noise. I do a lot of gig photos and if the lighting isn't great it's impossible to get good exposure so...
and, love T2. licorice legs tastes like biscuits. in hot liquid form!

Was a very nice little pick-me-up!
How fantastic does choc-chip chai sound?
It must be a new one!
I can imagine how yummy that would be with some warm soy milk on a frosty morning.
Good luck with the camera search, it's a big purchase so you have to be happy
I am hopefully getting a second hand Cannon digital SLR when my sister upgrades

p.s That macaroon looks divine, I was just given a macaroon recipe book so hopefully over the uni holidays I'll get time to blog about my tasty creations

  14. thank you for your comment!

I have to say that the great photos are due to the excellent photography skills of my boyfriend. As for which camera is best for you... as people have mentioned - the lenses that you have are more important than the camera and I recommend going into a shop and holding a few and going through the menus to see which you like the best.

My boy and I shoot Nikon, he has a D300 and I have his hand me down (D40) but would probably recommend the D90 if you are interested in a Nikon. Of course if I was to upgrade I would get another Nikon so that I can still 'borrow' lenses off my boy hehe.

Yes I love my bike - you should definitely get one!!!

  22. I am SO bummed that it wasn't til AFTER the MOK Theorem show that I saw your comments. Looking through my photos... and I can't see you. But it would have been so cool to say hey. Did you enjoy the night? There were some amazing dresses in the show last night.

What are you going to next? Maybe we'll get another chance to say hey hey!

  27. Love the tights - I've recently had the balls to start wearing my tights with ladders in them too. I was too chicken to do so before then.
Oh, and how great is T2?!!
My favourites of theirs are French Earl Grey, Tummy Tea, Botanica and (duh) Melbourne Breakfast. I just love that they are Australian, it makes them so much more lovable.
Wish I could come to the market you're about to go to. Maybe one day when I finally get to Sydney.
