As promised (in the previous post), here is my straight-haired 'Halo' look for a winter night out! Even looking at it, you can't doubt the warmth of this coat. I'm obsessed with it! I'm borderline too short/small for it but even if it looks like I'm being eaten by a multicoloured faux fur blob, I'm still going to wear it.

Something I do like about winter (apart from beanies with pom poms) is getting lost in books. Summer holidays are always great for reading but you're also distracted by the actual holiday in between - it's hard to actually get whisked away in the story. In winter you can spend hours in a comfy chair, with endless pots of tea and a good book. You know you're lost when you find a tear on your cheek after something terrible happens to a character you adore. I've got a soft spot for fantasy fiction and recently I've been reading the Gentleman Bastard series - the first being The Lies of Locke Lamora and I've just finished the second, Red Seas Under Red Skies. There's only 3 books at the moment but I believe there will be seven (plus a prequel). So I thought I would let you guys know so you could enjoy them too. Very easy reading, unpredictable and funny. Let me know your current favourite reads! Please share.

A special pre-fashion-week outfit post coming to your sunday night! Mavi (which, for your information, means 'blue' in turkish) have made a pair of jeans that fit me so well it's crazy. These Alissa jeans are part of the Mavi Reform collection with ultra slimming effect - no wonder they fit so well. I love how the fit is even super skinny around my ankles - not always the case when it comes to jeans! It seems winter is finally creeping into Sydney so new jeans were a must and I can already tell these are going to my my future 'old trusties'.

And yes, I was really enjoying my vege juice ... thank you!

I'm alive! I've just been in a uni exam/assignment prep lockdown, studying everyday for the past few weeks and having no social life. Yep... not fun at all. However, I do have only one exam left next weekend which I am not prepared for yet but I'm so excited to get it over with. Already planning catch-ups, camping trips and rsvp-ing 'Yes' to everything for when it's over!

At least I can wear nice clothes when I go out to get more food (via this Peace Park). Yesterday, Luke and I went out on the hunt for a bunch of healthy food to get us through our revision. We came home with yogurts, coconut water, kale, nuts, seeds, fruit, veggies, plus some sneaky salami and string cheese.

I loved these leggings at first sight but I never imagined they would cause such a stir. Old ladies were looking at my legs as if it were the Victorian era and I was showing an ankle! But I still think they're wicked!

PLUM, CARROT and NEW JEANS

Photobucket

Last nights shopping outing revealed some great buys and I still smile when I think about my purchases. I only ended up spending $75 but got so much!
A lovely new velvet mini dress, plum stockings, new BLACK JEANS, hot purple nail polish and a fresh carrot and apple juice ALL for only 75 bucks.

No wonder i was so pleased with myself.

I have been meaning to buy new black jeans and was so grateful when the shop assistant handed me a great pair on sale! I was just about to buy a pair exactly the same for 3 times as much. Isn't it annoying when you buy jeans for $200+ that just don't fit how you want them to. My nudies never did. The black ones i bought last night fit me better than any other jeans i have ever bought, EVER! So excited to wear them in winter.

Now all i need is a hat like this (below), a big ball of wool to knit a huge scarf and I'm set for winter!
